Laina trains at BEARHOUSE

Hi Rudi
I just wanted to thank you for the training I have been privileged thus far to receive from you at BearHouse!
Exercise has never been something I have enjoyed....until now! When Nicola told me about the Gym you were starting, it sounded right up my alley....and that’s a first.

Staring the last week of Feb this year and trying to come to 2 classes per week, I have seen a drastic change in my body. Not only in my body though, I get back from a class and have more energy than I did before going and the next day I feel on a happy high!

The sessions are always diverse and new elements always added. The gym has a friendly inviting atmosphere and I have never felt a hint of anxiety, which always seemed to overwhelm me when I did try a 'normal gym'.
You are always friendly and encouraging and push us to achieve more each class.
Im definitely grateful for BearHouse! Kicking & punching makes day to day life less pressured. :)

Coaching Marco Muscle...





Marco's private coaching sessions are purely focused on Boxing and Muay Thai conditioning, and not for the faint hearted!


As a Twaekon Do practitioner and a strength athlete, Marco is not afraid of hard training...and he continues to strive for perfection in his hard efforts and results.





The hour long training session is a testament to his dedication, minimal breaks taken with maximum time in the gloves....striking through the combinations!


Focus mit drills and heavy bag strikes, and a strengthening up the core. The pace is fast, the sets are hard....but Marco muscles his way through it all!







 A genuine effort and will can be seen in his private coaching sessions...A true sportsman to the game of hard training...and his results can be seen in each drill, from set to set.

Good stuff Marco, keep up the hard work!

CAROLINE : WELSH WINNING!

This Welshy has spirit! Caroline gave so much into her training, never looking back or holding out on any exercise in any session. She trained to her absolute maximum and as result Caro's lost 3 dress sizes, increased her overall strength, tone and fitness levels by double! I was so impressed by her 'Always ready' attitude...and had but no choice but to learn from her infectious drive and determination.

A full time mom and corporate leader in a very competitve business world, Caroline still showed up, with a smile, to every session...with enough energy for an entire class full of aerobic ladies! What a star, and total joy!
Well done Caro's!

Boxing and Muay Thai



Boxing and Muay Thai (Thai kick boxing) are both an extremely brilliant way to get into serious shape, but more importantly both are perfect forms of self defense!



Try throw a few punches and kick combinations, lasting for an average round of 3 minutes...and see how you feel!
Not easy!
Train for a good 60 minute session, 2-3 x a week....the results will astound you!
Not to mention the increased speed, coordination and reaction time!






Muay Thai also known as Thai Kick boxing, involves your legs as a added Striking weapon.
Knee's and kicks to your opponent or attacker will leave them with an extremely sore, if not lame, leg! A correctly aimed knee strike, could also dewind your assailant, and drop most men to their knees!
So Ladies, this is a win/win way off getting into your best shape, in a highly effective format of self defense.
Kick and punch your way to being your best!

The classes at BH compliment the fighting fit mentality..while perfecting your style and technique. There are no ways better to get stronger and fitter for boxing or Muay Thai than doing it itself. However, the use of a few functional fitness tools, thrown in between rounds adds to the endurance and strength.

Phillipa's success story

"I first started with Rudi's kettle bells class in Safa Park last September when my next door neighbour dragged me along saying, "come on, its fun and you said you wanted to lose weight." With slight apprehension I turned up assuming that someone as unfit as I was would never cope. Instantly Rudi put me at my ease and adjusted the programme to suit my level of ability (which was very limited). To begin with I was a bit of a 'doubting Thomas', but after a few weeks I noticed a definite change in my shape (especially around the waist area - always a bonus) and after about a month was increasing the weights of the kettles I was lifting. I was hooked. Rudi keeps the classes interesting and varied and has an excellent knowledge of general health and nutrition too. As a group we have a lot of laughs in the park but train hard too and the results are now showing. I am fitter, thinner and more toned. What more can a girl ask - thanks Rudi! "
